 Post poll survey, conducted by CVB News-C-Voter indicate a clean sweep for the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.

AITC led allinace is expected to get between 184 to 192 seats in the 294-member while the Left is expected to win only in 48 to 56 seats.

STAR News-Nielsen Exit Poll Survey:

The TMC and Congress alliance in Bengal are set to win a massive 225 seats in the 294-member state assembly, according to the STAR News-Nielsen Exit Poll thus ending the 34-year run of the Left Front.

The CPM-led Left will slump to 60 seats, the Exit Poll survey says.

General Elections 2009:

In the 2009 General Elections, Trinamool Congress emerged as the clear winner. No one expected such good results for Mamata Banerjee. Trinamul won 19 out of the total 42 seats. CPM managed just 9 with Congress winning only 6. Detailed West Bengal election results are here.
Assembly Results for WB in 2006:
CPM was the biggest gainer in the 2006 Vidhansabha Polls. It ended up winning 175 seats alone out of the total 294, and the Left Front coalition won 233 seats. CPM gained 32 seats then last elections in 2001. Trinamul Congress was the biggest loser and lost almost 50% of its total seats from the 2001 polls. It just won 29 seats. Congress lost 5 seats from last polls and ended at 21.
BJP doesn't really have a base in West Bengal yet and it is evident from the fact that it has not won a single assembly seat in either 2001 or 2006 polls.

Election Results:Countdown begins for West Bengal assembly results

Countdown has begun for the crucial West Bengal assembly election results with hardly two days to go for counting of votes and exit poll projections of a change in governance grabbing all attention.
Once the EVMs are opened at 8 am on Friday at different counting centres and counting gets underway the debate over likelihood of 'Parivartan'(change) by Trinamool Congress-Congress combine or 'Pratyavartan'(return) of the Left Front to rule the state for record-breaking eighth consecutive term will be resolved.
While Left Front chairman Biman Bose has asserted the Front would return to power, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has refused to comment on the exit poll projection.
Banerjee, who has already called for 'Badla noi, Badal chai' (we want change and not revenge) in the event of her party wresting power, has said there would be no victory procession as it might create tension.
All results are expected by 2 pm, the state election commission department sources said adding security measures have been tightened in all vulnerable areas of the city and districts to avert any post-poll disturbance

Kerala Assembly Election 2011 results online

The Election Commission has made extensive arrangements to get the results of the Kerala Assembly elections online. The polling for the 140 assembly seats to constitute the 13th Legislative Assembly in Kerala was held on April 13, 2011 and the counting of votes starts at 8 am on May 13. There are 140 counting halls across 64 locations.

The results will be available on www.trend.kerala.gov.in and www.ceo.kerala.gov.in. Briefing the media, Nalini Netto IAS, Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala said, “All arrangements for the counting is in place across the state. The trends of counting will be available in the first half an hour. The speed of the results would depend on the number of voters and the number of candidates in the constituency. We hope

The counting statistics dissemination is being handled by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) with computer programmers supported by Keltron. Trends, a software package developed by NIC Kerala would be used for real time compilation of results. Another software, Genesis, is also being used by the Election Commission for generation of results.

The Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL) has assigned 90 engineers across the 14 Districts to support the counting process and attend to any technical issue related to the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The support system would have additional printers and power packs to meet any emergency need.

AIADMK Confident on Victory ,gears up for celebrations

The banners are ready, and so are the sweets and crackers as the opposition AIADMK cadres -- confident of winning the Tamil Nadu assembly polls -- count the hours before election results are declared Friday.
"Just a day is left for the results, we are in a celebration mood. We are sure that we will win the election. Amma (party chief J. Jayalalithaa) will be the next chief minister. We have already bought sweets, crackers and banners of our party leader," R.B. Udayakumar, AIADMK state student wing secretary, told IANS.
Party workers strongly believe that actor-turned-politician Jayalalithaa will make a comeback and assume the mantle of chief minister again.
“The election result is just an official announcement and confirmation, but we know that our party is the winner. We are 100 percent sure of this,” S. Selvaraj, an AIADMK youth wing leader in Ramanathapuram district, said.
At least two exit-polls have forecast a win for the AIADMK-led combine while one said the DMK will retain power.
About 75 percent voting was recorded April 13. The counting will take place Friday. The state assembly has 234 seats.

Exit Poll West Bengal 2011: Mamata Banerjee all set to oust Left

Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress is set to end the three decade left rule in the West Bengal, according to the various Exit polls.

According to the exit poll results, Trinamool Congress and Congress alliance is set to get 3/4th majority in the 294-member state assembly.

TMC-Cong alliance is expected to clean sweep the West Bengal Assembly election 2011.

Various exit poll survey conducted by media has claimed that TMC-Cong alliance is expected to bag 221 seats out of 294 seats. TMC will bag 181-192 seats alone in the election while Congress is expected to win 40 seats.

It will be major jolt for Left parties as West Bengal has been under Communist rule since last 34 years.

The huge turn-out in the six-phase Assembly election also shows that people of West Bengal want change in the side.

Exit poll results also claim that Mamata has rooted out Left from the West Bengal.On the other hand, CPI-M has rubbished the Exit Poll and claimed to retain the crown.
The last phase of polling concluded on Tuesday and counting of votes will take place on May 13.

Exit polls indicate UPA victory in West Bengal, Kerala

First reports of exit poll indicate history in West Bengal and regime change in Kerala while it’s too close to call in Tamil Nadu.
An exit poll conducted by Star News television channel has projected Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA)’s victory in West Bengal and Kerala.
The survey projects Trinamool Congress - Congress alliance wiping out more than three decades old Left Front government in West Bengal.
According to the exit polls telecast in the channel on Tuesday says the TMC and Congress will win 181 and 40 respectively while Left Front will be reduced to 62 from 227.
In Kerala, the Congress-led United Democratic Front is expected to win 88 while CPM-led Left Democratic Front will win 49.
In Tamil Nadu, AIADMK is projected as winning 110 and ruling DMK will have 124 seats in the 234 member assembly.
In a close contest, Tarun Gogoi led Congress has a chance to create history in Assam by returning to power for a third consecutive term,post poll surveys predict. The Headlines Today poll predicts 44 of the 126 seats for Congress in Assam,with potential ally AUDF slated to win 14.
